Story behind the song
A song for Remembrance Day and for all those who didn't come home. Originally this music was written for a poem by Ted, my father-in-law, and is about the Troopship that brought him back after serving in Malaya. It was the troopship's last journey before being scrapped, but as with most songs, the meaning in it is for much more than that. Music © Paul Oakley 2013

Wonderful song. Beautiful and heartfelt melodies. Excellent work!
Wonderful dedication to all of the men and women who fought for the rights and the freedoms in wartime. Very well created Paul - excellent melody with the guitar, like modern day bagpipes. Liked the outro at 4:30. Lest We Forget...
